Digital Imaging & Printing Training

Workforce Enterprises (WE-NYC) is a unique public/private venture that combines technical skills and work-readiness training within a real-world commercial printing environment. Our primary goal is to train and place New Yorkers with barriers to employment in sustainable careers in the printing and document management industries at above minimum wage starting salaries.

The Career Opportunity

There is a growing gap between the demand for productive, entry-level document management staff among law firms, accounting firms, government agencies and outsourced facilities management firms and the availability of trained personnel.

WE-NYC closes this gap through a unique workforce development model that combines the interests of New York City’s non-profit agencies, whose missions include career development and job placement for their clients, with those of the document management employers’ who are facing a growing demand for productive, entry-level staff.

The Program

WE-NYC is one of the only job training programs in New York to combine skills training and placement within a social purpose business setting. With the support of our nonprofit partner, the International Center for the Disabled (ICD), our graduates are prepared for jobs in the Digital Printing and Document Management industries through a specialized program of technical and work-readiness training, internships, job placement services, and one year of post-employment case management services. This holistic approach enables graduates to receive the training and support they need to achieve productive, financially independent lives in their communities.

The program content has been approved by the Xplor Document University as we move toward achieving our goal of CEU  Accreditation.

Our Program Facilitates Success

Our management team has proven the effectiveness of the training curriculum they developed in their previous careers as trainers and industry professionals. This, combined with the experience and resources of ICD, provides our graduates with a well-balanced program of technical training and support services that enhance our graduates’ ability to achieve success.
